I am bisexual. Some of you know this. The rest of you do now.
I thought my mother did. I mean, I had talked about girls I thought were hot and had dropped various hints. Apparently not.
She does now.
...fuck.
She'd said that she was "disappointed", and asked how I would think she wouldn't be. Like I'd failed a test or something - like this basic part of my personality got me enough red marks to get an F in the class of life. She wasn't angry she was just...disappointed.

You’re intelligent, creative, honest and caring – and none of those things are even remotely disappointing. I’m sorry you didn’t get the reaction you needed. I hope your mother re-evaluates things, but that's sometimes difficult to do and may take time.
And totally inappropriately (consider it my lame attempt at cheering you up): “accidentally stumbling out of the closet” is an absolute winner of a line – you should definitely file it away for later use in a story.
