I am bisexual. Some of you know this. The rest of you do now.

I thought my mother did. I mean, I had talked about girls I thought were hot and had dropped various hints. Apparently not.

She does now.

...fuck.

She'd said that she was "disappointed", and asked how I would think she wouldn't be. Like I'd failed a test or something - like this basic part of my personality got me enough red marks to get an F in the class of life. She wasn't angry she was just...disappointed.

...I. I don't know.

Don't let it get you down. In the end, your mother's only one person, and eventually she'll realise that there's nothing 'disappointing' about you being bisexual. I'm sorry she thinks like that, I guess.

For the little it’s worth given the situation, I think you’re awesome. You’re intelligent, creative, honest and caring – and none of those things are even remotely disappointing. I’m sorry you didn’t get the reaction you needed. I hope your mother re-evaluates things, but that's sometimes difficult to do and may take time.

And totally inappropriately (consider it my lame attempt at cheering you up): “accidentally stumbling out of the closet” is an absolute winner of a line – you should definitely file it away for later use in a story.

Hey, there. Haven't been online much, so I only just read this.

Yeah, it's amazing how some parents can stick their heads in the sand. I can only hope her reaction was that of initial shock, which she'll get over soon.

*hugs* Thankz. Yeah, she's still not pleased with it but I think she's willing to put up with it. She also promised to not tell my father, which is good because I have No Idea how he would react besides badly.

I think everything else is at least tolerable. It's been a strange couple of months.
