He's an irritating submissive because the idiot refuses to use his safeword, even when he should.
He read Mokuba fairy tales when they were younger, but edited them when they were stupid. (The version where Cinderella exposed her stepmother as corrupt and took over her spinning business was way better, anyway.) The book was burned in his first week as Seto Kaiba.
He speaks at least seven languages, and tends to switch without noticing when he's distracted.
He's a sculptor, with metalwork and holograms. Some of the statues around Kaibaland are his.
Death:
In all the times that the Man in White has caused an imbalance, Death has had to interfere personally in about a third of them. Most of the time, humans cannot handle the power they find and things... balance themselves back out.
Death didn't lie - it has no idea what happens after humans die. But after Michael, it...wonders.
Death is nongendered - it doesn't quite understand the idea.
Death doesn't chose its form often - wherever someone is dying they are in that moment Death, and Death is they. But every now and then, there is a fresh corpse that Death finds useful.
Michael:
He almost tried, once, early on - some bug he was going to squash anyway, just to find out if he really *could* - he felt the tiny tiny tug of life, and then stopped, and picked it up so that he could put it outside. (I'm planning on writing that scene in, when I finally edit it)
He's never certain if he pities or hates Tobias - except right before he dies and he has the blinding thought of his wife left unprotected with his murderer, he's entirely certain that it might be hate.
He's retired, and works in his garden when his flowers are in season. He remembers how to, and it's nice to have the nice comfortable feeling of motions well worn into motor memory.
His heart breaks when a day passes and he finds out that it was his anniversary - he doesn't *miss* his old life, so to speak, but he misses the little connections, the bits of knowledge that help human beings show that they care about each other. When he finds out he cuts some roses from his garden and sets about cooking dinner, making whatever feels natural. He doesn't know what it's called and he burns the chicken a bit, but his wife smiles, startled and beautiful, and says that this meal was always her favorite - and that makes it better again.
....come to think of all of those michael bits might end up being canon.
I know we talked last night but I wanted to thank you. I love your headcanon, although it does sound contradictory to have headcanon about something you wrote… on the other hand, who better? (lol)
I’m absolutely wedded to the idea that Kaiba would never use a safe word because it feel like losing to him – or at any rate conceding the match – and also because a small, unexplored part of him would want to make his lover totally responsible for his physical and emotional safety, that trust more than anything else would be the turn on.
I also love the idea that some of the KaibaLand statues are his – and naturally there’d be nothing to indicate which ones, and it’s not something he’d publicize because it’d feel too private.
I love the Michael scenes – they really do fit into your story when you revise it. I can just see him hovering over a bug and then loving, if not the bug, at least its life force. It’s funny Michael and his wife are such a wonderful OTP, I’m sappily in love with the idea that even though he doesn’t remember anything else, he knows he loves her. It says something about Michael that he’s special even to Death. Hell, he makes me feel sorry for Death, losing his only friend - and not even fully realizing that what he feels is friendship and affection, which makes it sadder.
does it count as headcanon if i wrote it....
