So. Been a while.

So. Life. I am currently off for the summer. I tried to get a job, but the one I was really going for – got a second interview and everything! – hasn’t called me back which is kind of disheartening, you know? So for now I’m mucking about, reading, and fighting utter boredom.

Currently reading The Wind Up Bird Chronicle. It is a strange book, with many headtilting “huh” moments. Also incesty bits possibly but that depends on whether or not I’m right about the Brother In Law. (Who is kind of fascinating but also a little bit terrifying.)

Beat Kingdom Hearts 1 last night, after many hours of item finding for the Ultimate Weapon. (Why are so many items found in motherfucking Atlantica?) I also got all 99 puppies for the first time ever, which was fucking adorable.

In possession of Re:COM, but Sora’s voice actor is different and that threw me something  awful.

Parents are on a trip for mother’s birthday. Thus I am home alone dogsitting. This isn’t really helping the boredom.

And now, a random drabblet that I threw out at 1 am last night after beating KH1. It’s sparse but kind of cute and I’m refusing to care, so here it is. Set after the end of the game.

Cloud twitched, unsure of why he agreed to come anyway –

“Hey! I found the idiot!” Cid yelled as he opened the library door. “Who wants to smack him first?”

But Yuffie’s eyes glowed with something like happy tears and Aeris had that soft happy look he’d almost forgotten and even Leon looked glad to see him –

-and when Aeris lightly whapped him asking, “Will you stay this time?” he couldn’t do anything but nod.

Not gonna lie, Cid's line makes that for me.

Possibly, yes. Assuming that the Cetraness has remained. It may well have. (Why isn't she one of the Princesses? She serves the same purpose in the original canon... and besides, fuck Alice.) Then again, the brain-poking ability is kind of inherently Aerith, so.

Friend objects that Barret's stuff is there, just harder to see. I personally have not looked. (She also points out that Marlene is starting to get depressing by her absence, which I'm inclined to agree with.) And yes, what happened to the Sephy-Radar? Perhaps it got broken. ...I kind of like that description, yes. Riku and Sora missed each other at COM by how much?

....and possibly ask to join in. (Aerith would want to watch. And then mention the Dress Incident.) And besides, someone would have to confiscate the swords to make sure they don't "accidentally" start killing each other.

And a certain amount of tempting by Sephiroth. The Midgar Zolom impaled on a tree was just a little love note so that Cloud didn't forget.

...Hm. Maleficent killed her for having a sillier coat than she did? Or maybe the heartless got her first - from what I remember, DeVille was one of the more unstable villains.


....*tempted* Hm. I will have to investigate.....

Well, Seph's got his feathers, Cloud's got his buckets of crazy, Tifa's still a stalker and Yuffie's still hyper, so... (Presumably because the Princess are all Disney folk. And Kairi because plot.)

Where would it be? The armor or that arm-mesh thing? (--yes. Yes she is. Tiny little heartless somewhere, or just a tiny little corpse, I wonder?) It either got broken or received a fuzzy signal--he knew Seph was there somewhere, just not the exact location. Presumably in CoM by either a couple of days, or, more depressingly, a couple of hours. Because their lives just suck that badly.

Join in or at least film/take pictures. (Pff, Aerith's the one who will have brought them there without killing each other.)

There's a difference between those little bits of flirting and the dialogue that was written by a yaoi fangirl which makes up the majority of Seph's lines in any of the non-original games save perhaps CC.

Actually, the heartless getting her would make perfect sense. So unless Sora did save all of those puppies they'd just rot there forever.

True, true. She probably has some degree of Cetraness. Wouldn't be her without it. (Or my dorky "I will fit the original canons in somehow damn it" theory is right, and she was a Princess of the original ff7 world.)

Yes, I believe so - and if Marlene is gone, whether Heartless or otherwise, what state do you think Barret's going to be in? (Oh god, now I have the mental image of Barrett and Marlene being surrounded by heartless and it's hopeless and oh god that's the most depressing I've thought in a while.) Yeah, might have been a fuzzy signal - all the resudual darkness around the Bastion confusing things, maybe?

I'm pretty sure he'd have to join in, because while they'd both be willing to molest him they would not be willing to allow photos to exist that might possibly end up in the hands of Yuffie. (True, that. She's probably sick of it too, because all that jenova-rage around is bound to give her a headache.)

Hah, this is true. Sephiroth is basically fangirl bait, at the best of time, but the expanded universe just makes it so much worse.

Soooo. You killed puppies then. Hope you're proud of yourself. (I'm sure Leon went and got them himself, eventually. If he had time.)

I can totally buy that she was--did they wind up calling it Gaia?--'s princess. Because yeah, she totes would be.

Also a heartless! Or a nobody. I think he'd be strong enough to leave a nobody behind too, probably. (That's terrible. Someone should draw it. Because angst.) Hmm, probably. The place was a seething hive of heartless not too long ago, and during the siege too... really, there's so much unexplained backstory considering that KH!Seph doesn't really do anything particularly evil except pull Cloud's pigtails...

You know, I'm honestly not sure Sephiroth would care. Just 'cause. Cloud, yes. (I loveloveLOVE that you can get the "Honey Charm" set of armor in the first Dissidia by beating Chaos with Cloud. Weapon of: Sexy Cologne! Armor of: Silky Dress! Headgear of: Blonde Wig! Arm-gear of: Membership Card! And the characters that can equip it are all of the girls, Cloud, and Kefka.)

Fanon has established it as Gaia, but I'm not sure if the canon has. (It's a strange canon anyway.)

Yeah. Though nobody!Barret would also be kind of depressing... (And yes. Or write it. Except I'm not really interested in going into heartbreak alley at the moment.) This is ture. Really, besides the whole Well He's Obviously Evil aura that Seph has, he's not actually done much beside sort of float. It's one of the instances where I feel like the original canon *has* to come into play, because there's no explanation for the hate otherwise.

Sephiroth wouldn't care, perhaps. Cloud would be kind of appalled, but he would be appalled by the whole situation. (I saw a fic where Cloud wore that and was molested by Everyone. Just a moment.... you've probably already seen it, but:
