I read Neil Gaimen's Graveyard Book today.
I don't think I can quite sum it up, except for one word. SQUEEEE.
Okay, two more words. HUG SILAS.
There's a reason Gaimen's one of my favorite authors... this book got under my skin and made it feel like my nerves were being jolted by electricity made out of sugar and sunshine. It made me want to dance. (I cannot dance. This does not always stop me) It made me squeal and sniffle and I fear for the Latin exam that I should have been studying for instead of reading this.
...I probably shouldn't ship grownup!Bod/Silas, and yet I sort of do. At any rate, I'm fascinated by the relationship there, and would like to explore it. Maybe in a shippy sense, maybe not. Silas clearly loves the boy, and I'm not sure he understands that himself. Could go a lot of ways. Because I'm clearly just bursting with free time and inspiration right now. /sarcasm
