You are a shiny game. I rather like you. Your plotline is a bit jerky, but the characters are cute and shiny and I'm fond of them. I'd like to finish you, really.

However.

IF I HAVE TO RUN THE GODDAMNED CRYSTAL PALACE ONE MORE FUCKING TIME BECAUSE I DIED THREE-FORTHS OF THE WAY THROUGH THE FINAL LEVEL I WILL THROW YOU AND MY DS ACROSS THE FUCKING ROOM. GIVE ME A GODDAMNED SAVE POINT, YOU SON OF A WHORE.

Finishing you is quickly becoming not worth it.

If it's any consolation, I'm wrangling through FF4, and while it is delightful, the CONSTANT FIERY DEATH at the hands of mooks each time I fight my way to a new castle/area/what have you is rather humiliating.

I need a Cecil icon.

Yay for commiseration. What makes it worse is the fact that despite wanting to throw my DS across the room earlier, I keep wanting to try again. It's like a bad relationship.

Randomly, are you playing the gba or DS version of ff4? Because I have the gba version but am contemplating the benefits getting the new graphics of the DS version. Because there's retro and there's "oh god old graphics ow".

I am having much the same problem! Every time I die it just makes me angrier and I want to fight more. And also throw things.

DS version! It is super-cute--chibis everywhere!

*just almost throws DS again* What have I learned about not paying attention when I'm playing. At least I know my way around the castle by now... But not the fucking Dark Realm. I'm such a game masochist.

Hmmz. I am leaning towards picking up a copy of the DS version, then... Will have to get that tomorrow. Might be interesting to compare the two, even.
