Yeah...the urge still hasn't gone away either, even though there is - predictably - no fic for it.

The thought process went about like this:

About half way through I started dreaming and scheming of ways to shove them into each other just to watch the psychological pingpong. And then in my head Hong kept getting more and more entranced with Vetinari - finally, someone who could match him! - and in the book Hong's sort of quasi-sexual obsession with Ankh-Morporkian culture (it couldn't have just been me that saw it that way, right?) showed up. So Hong-in-the-head got a Big Fanboy Crush on Vetinari.

I may or may not have written a couple paragraphs of fic for this. *shifty look is shifty*
