Yeah, that's what A said too - he'd definitely time it for maximum dramatic effect. (Though to be fair, in my head, as soon as he walked in Brennan was all, "Close the door, I can't see in the glare you idiot..." which rather spoiled the effect.) And yeah, the steps are a very poignant image, really - and very, very tall.
