Light doesn’t even have to ask Misa, he just holds up the blindfold. Misa only smiles, letting Light tie the blindfold behind her head. She thinks it's a test of her trust, a chance for her to prove how much she loves him. She thinks this and she's completely, totally wrong.
Light doesn't want Misa, and this isn't about her at all. With her hair down and her eyes covered, Misa is close – not quite, but close enough for Light. In his mind, her hair is brown and not blonde, and she holds a sword in one hand. In his mind, she’s not his worshipper but his goddess, his equal, the only one he will ever worship. In his mind, only in his mind, but it is enough.
He whispers sweet things in her ear, adorations that aren’t meant for her, but he knows that his true lover is listening. He knows she hears him, and he will keep wanting her and worshipping the only deity besides himself worthy of it.
Lady Justice is blind, and she’s the most beautiful thing Light’s ever seen.
(Even when people are attracted to concepts, they find personifications of them. So I figure I can fudge it a bit.)
I hope this counts
