saint_archie did a while back, and will endeavor to post something every day this month.
Yes I know it's the second already. Shush. I'm close enough. *isn't going to predate, that'd be cheating*
So, a bit about my life. I've got a job lined up for the fall. Couple of hours a week, but better than nothing. Tutoring job, which is kind of terrifying - oh god it's going to end so badly - but I'm pretty sure that's just 'new situation' jitters.
Have continued writing massive "Not Dead Damnit" Kingdom Hearts fic.I have unofficially blamed several bits on eitheredmondia or rabbitprint , due to the massive amounts of inspiration I have garnered from them. Seriously, there's an entire subplot that's entirely 'dia's fault... I hit 19k on the damn thing last night. By far the longest fanfic I've ever written.
Riku is haaaard. Though I am taking plot-advantage of the fact that while he may be a socially oblivious crab, he *does* know how to analyze an enemy, and in certain situations that's close enough.
Read Night Watch over the weekend! Time traveling Vimes ftw! Vimes was amazing and awesome and so was Vetinari and there were fascinating combinations of the two (er, four) and really that's all I ask for. Also, this book finally made me start writing Discworld fic. One slashy Vimes/Vetinari drabble (oh shut up you knew I'd ship that) one angsty/awkward/sweet oneshot where I sort of kill of a character - might post it later. And an idea for a chapter fic niggling at my brain where Carrot was sent back instead of Vimes. It would be...kind of angsty. Because Carrot was not made for pre-Vetinari Ankh-Morpork, and it would do unpretty things to his world view.
Read The Shack previously. It was awful and it's been a while since I've seen anything quite that forced. It would have been fine as an essay, and yet... Got into argument with mother over it, as she was the one who'd thrown it at me and was apparently quite inspired.
Three weeks until school. Woot.
