I hate my printer with a burning passion, and I've only had it a week.

Well. I've exhausted all of the preloaded help files. I'd rather not have to resort to talking to customer service (yay, generalized terror.) Basically what's going on (the source problem, I think) is that my printer isn't starting up all the way - so I can print but I can't scan anything, because it's not getting to the point where the menu comes up to scan. When I try to go through the printer icon on my desktop, it says the imaging device cannot be found. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled everything, and tried all of the suggested solutions in the help files. It's a HP photosmart c4700 series.

So. Yeah. Um...help? Or I'll just give in and chat the customer service...
