Ganked from [livejournal.com profile] speaky_bean

1)The use of only one icon.

Haha, I mostly do this because I'm lazy. I actually have a second one, of one of my favorite bands (yay for Sparks!) but I rarely use it. The only reason I use L is because, when I made this lj, I needed an icon, and L has a nice simple design. So I make it like five minutes, and haven't thought of it since. It's not that important to me, so I just don't think about it.

2) [livejournal.com profile] serria

Serri-chan (as I call her, because I give everyone a nickname of some sort) was the first DN writer I ever read. She's half the reason I'm in this fandom. (The other half would be one [livejournal.com profile] edmondia ) I was wandering through the ff.net DN section, desparing, wanting to hurt someone and starting to wonder if it was worth it, and I stumbled across Between the Black and White. That fic was worth it, so I keep reading. And eventually, started writing.

So yeah, you can blame her.

3) L/Light

This is my otp for this series, and everytime I reread the series it becomes more obvious. L is SO intuned to Light, and regularly makes decisions purely based on Light's reactions. And Light never really gets over L - even when he goes to face Near, he's wishign that it was L instead. It's not healthy, and not particularly wise, but L and Light complete each other's puzzle. The picture they form is one of obsession and mutual destruction, but they fit together perfectly. No one ever made Light *feel* as much as L did, and even though Light will seduce everyone he gets his hands on, L is the only one Light ever wanted.

Though I will admit to shipping Light/L/Misa as my OT3.

4) Essays.

I think about fandom a lot, and I'm a sociologist/psychologist by nature. I like trying to figure out how these people work, and writing it down helps organize my thoughts. And I like posting them to see what other people think - if I'm making sense, if I'm totally messing it up, and just to share thoughts. ...I still need to post that Anderson thing... I will  never write as many essays as I do fic, but I will probably always do both.

5) Musicals.

Musical is the  most fun I ever have in my school year. I love the stories themselves, I love half the actors (a good percentage, trust me), I love doing stage work, I love the director to death, and even though I'm always exhausted by the end I don't want it to end. I've actually got half a mind to go to college for stage work, and do it for the rest of my life. It's just the way I am on crew - I focus on the show completely, and everything is focused on making this thing work. Plus I like how the crew operates - no messing around, no goofing off, no acting stupid to be funny. It's the only place I find people that actually operate like I do.

I *heart* musical work.
