So, it was a little past midnight. I had gotten everything done, and was settling in for bed.  Lights were off, and I was curled up under the covers, thinking about a story that [personal profile] serria  had written. (Lovely story. Halloween fic, too.) There was probably some of [personal profile] edmondia 's Marrakesh floating around in there, too.  At any  rate, I was trying to go to bed.

At about fifteen, thirty after, the opening lines to a rather interesting story started running through my head. Now, I'm used to this, though it hasn't happened lately much, and keep a memo pad by my bed for such an occasion. So I sat up, turned on my reading lamp, and started writing.

I finished somewhere around one a.m.

It's a rather interesting fic - I'm not sure entirely what's up with it, aside from me getting the Death Note canon and my desire to have a certain rather dead character stay around ('cause it's more interesting that way) to work together. I think I found away around the lack of an afterlife in the DN universe, at least for the character concerned.

I also over-used dashes. I didn't change subjects as much as I usually do, but I had an idea of what I wanted to happen, so that helped. I did change tenses a few times, and didn't even notice. I don't usually do that, but I fixed them later so it doesn't matter much.

I'll probably type it later. It's kinda odd... Right. Friend is over and wants me to help her on Final Fantasy 6, so I'll probably type it tonight. *nods*

Wow, cool! :D I like supernatural ghost-type fics. Though I think it's an important element in Death Note that when all humans die, they simply become Nothingness... in my Samhain Waltz fic, I tried to be ambiguous and let the reader decide if the "ghost" was really there, or if Light was simply imagining it. If he was really there, perhaps there was just something he wasn't ready to let go of, so his spirit was clutching on to the human world tooth and nail before it finally finished dissipating. Anyway, point being, I want to read your pic! Will you post it on FF.N?

At some point I'm going to have to read Death Note, although I've been resisting it as long as possible because I really don't have the time for another fandom. Nooooooooooooooo <-- me resisting Death Note.

I know what you mean -- I get a lot of my ideas at the most inconvenient times -- the middle of the night, when I'm in the middle of doing something that really needs my concentration...

Talk to you later!
