She takes a step, and then another - the floor cracks and glows where she steps, black stone turning translucent and iridescent, the edges silver and gold.
It is beautiful. She is beautiful, in an abstract kind of way, the way a glacier or a crystal is, something untouchable and other, a glimpse of a world of sharp angles and chemical arrangement that follows different rules than this one.
She steps and the floor is transformed below her. She walks slowly, hesitantly, each placement of her feet deliberate and considered. She walks like a deer or a lamb, if such things were starkly inorganic, white and pale blue and angles, or a dancer considering a routine. Perhaps she merely walks carrying the knowledge that she unavoidably transforms the world around her with every movement, that she is so fully what she is that everything she touches cannot help but realign to her axis. And so she gives each movement the full weight of thought that such an action deserves before moving.
But move she does. She drags her hand across the wall and where her fingertips touch the rotting wood it crackles and pops, splintering under the force of honey gold sap oozing out from wood suddenly green and new. The sap sticks to her fingers when she pulls her hands away - she rubs her finger tips together, tilting her head. Curiosity is a strange sensation in her chest. But the sap turns to diamonds and then to crystal glitter on her skin, crumbling away into shimmering dust on the floor.
This is not a restoration. Her touch does not strip away age and dirt to reveal the hidden value. She is exquisite ruination; a crystalline floor that no one can walk on and new wood that will not keep out the cold, beautiful corpses both.
.I'm not sure what she is, but suspect she's some sort of automation.
