I survived musical! There was crying involved the last night... I'm gonna miss you, Younk-dog! (The director. A pasty-white 60-something English teacher who does, indeed, answer to Younk-Dog. Crazy bastard but I love him to death.)  I'm thinking about coming back and taking his job one day, but we'll see.

I am now the proud owner of the entire DN manga. (I'm missing HtR, but I'll get it soon.) This is nice, as I'm finally working on a fic I started a while ago. I need the canon handy for reference.

Speaking of that fic.... The Notebook Rules are a flaming bitch to work around. Even when you ignore the ambigious phrasing. (That is not what 'possessed' means, damn it. I checked my dictionary.) This is fun though, regardless, and maybe eventualy I'll write the damn thing. *is nervous about it* 


I will be around much more often  now, and I have emails to write.

I own all the DN manga, too! :D I went on a buying craze when I first got into the fandom and spent more than I really should've.. oh well! ^^

Know what you mean about the notebook rules being a bitch. Ohba wrote them specifically to complement her storyline, which makes alternative storylines really tricky. Good luck!

Complement the story? Even the ones that don't *work* in the story, like that one about the Note becoming useless if the name is misspelled four times, which is ignored in the first bloody chapter?

...I might be a bit frustrated right now. Sorry. I think I've gotten the rules sorted out, though, so that's good.

Haha, because I think Ohba is some kind of god, I assume that she deliberately opened a ton of possibilities, only to not use them... not only with rules that you think MIGHT come into play, but with introducing characters that have potential only to kill them off, etc.

Best of luck! I can't wait to read what you come up with. XD; And yes, I need to get working on my own fanfiction.. how did I become like this? haha.

Oh, I'm fine with alternate possibilities. Most of my ideas for this series are AU, so the possibilities are just fun. It's the rare "No, it does not work like that and you told us it didn't!" moments that annoy me. (Like that moment with the 'misspelled four times' rule.) But those don't come around often, thankfully.

I will try to get it done. I've never done anything this complex or long before, and I'm kind of nervous.

Do I need to poke you? I will happily poke you if that means I get to read more of B&W. Or whatever else, really. (the only possibly endings for Desi I can see are incredibly depressing. I want to be proven wrong!) And of course, feel free to poke me back.

I really thought that the "misspelled four times" rule might come into play. I thought that possibly Light would try to write L's names four times, and get it wrong each time, thus making him immune. Man, though, when I read the manga I didn't actually believe L was dead, even when he died, until they talked about his funeral. -_-; oh, possibilities a-waste!

Haha. I used to update Desi twice a week. Now it's like... less than that. >>; B&W is almost done though! It's just, I'm eager to get to the exciting bits, and the parts I'm doing now I'm trying to balance between staying IC and making things believable, and keeping it at an entertaining pace... which makes me question everything and go "blah! *delete*". Maybe I should find a beta. Or someone with a big fat stick to smack me whenever I don't update.

Hmm...That would have been interesting, yes. As for the other one.... *slaps hand over mouth* *coughs* Nothing. You heard nothing.

Ahhh...yes, I understand. I've got a few friends at a mostly dead board that help me out (including the fantastic Saint Archie.) I might toss the link at you sometime. I can't beta full time, but I can give things a look-over if you need me to. (In between real life...but I'm sure you understand.)
