There was one reiew of Twilight that mentioned that just the fact of vampires trying to suppress their natural urges alone could have been a compelling story of its own--how did Edward's dad manage to learn this lifestyle that is contrary to everything in a vamp's nature? Good god, that would have made a far better companion to the Twilight series than having Twilight re-written from Edward's point of view (that from the snippets I read, added nothing of value to what we knew of Twilight). Ah well. It be teim 4 fanfic nao, Y/N?

"Breaking Dawn" oddly is my favorite of the four books--by that I mean the fail is less bad than in the other three books--but I suspect much of that has to do with the book being shown in Jacob's POV for a third of that, and there was something that almost actually resembled a...what is that called again? Right. A plot.
